FAVORITE THING TO COOK:

Don't really cook much, but if I have to pick... its steak!

I don't own one!

Bud Light

TOP RATED BEERS:

1. Sublime - Alesmith Brewing Company 10

1. PKL FKR - New Braunfels Brewing Company 10

1. Pina Colada Coconut Cream Ale w/ Pineapple - Martin House Brewing 10

COOKING EXPERIENCE:

I don't really ever cook... I help out at cookoffs and man the fire like nobody's business.

What's up my dudes? Small town guy here that now calls the Houston area home. And to be quite honest, I grew up not liking BBQ at all. Sorry Mom, Dad and other relatives but everything y'all made tasted the same! Haha. But when you live on a street full of cookers it's kind of hard not to fall in line and eventually start learning. Rather it's at cookoffs or just down the street the pits are always on it seems like. I'm a football junkie and love me some Dallas Cowboys (even when they are unwatchable). Really enjoy doing the podcast and hope I am somewhat entertaining for you guys!

FAVORITE THING TO COOK:

COOKING EXPERIENCE:

I've been cooking probably about 8 years. I didn't get serious about it until I got my first Traeger and met the rest of these fellas. I'm now completely in love with bbq and grilling. I love trying new grills out and trying different methods. Currently own about 15 grills/smokers, with my daily users being my Weber Ranch Kettle and my Traeger Timberline 1300.

I'm married to a beautiful woman that loves cooking as much as I do! She is @chicksthatsmoke on social media. We have four amazing kids that keep us super busy. I was born in Oregon, grew up in Northern California, and have lived in Texas now for 10+ years.

Let's see... a little something about myself. Born in Houston, bounced around a bit before settling down in Pearland, Texas. Attended Tarleton State University where I rushed and became a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Phi Rho Zeta!

Love to cook/grill/smoke food for my friends and family!

FAVORITE THING TO COOK:

Wood fired pizza on a grill from scratch. I love the entire process of making my own dough and sauce and pulling the perfect pizza from the grill.

FAVORITE GRILLS/SMOKERS:

Offest smokers are king in Texas, but for everyday cooking it's hard to beat the Weber Kettle.

I've been cooking most of my life in one way or another. Even as a kid in  my grandmother's diner, but I've been competing in BBQ for 20 years.

I am super competitive in almost everything I do in life. It 's one of the attributes that's helped me be successful in work and BBQ.

Born in Alaska, moved to California, Hawaii, back to California and have been in Texas since '97. I moved to Pearland, next door to James and Aldan in 2013. James would have me try his BBQ every weekend and it started my love for BBQ. I've been a backyard BBQer most of the time and joined the competition team for a year before covid shut things down.
