COOKING EXPERIENCE:

20 years of cooking on the grill.

Born and raised in Marshall, Texas. Married the chick I met in college... she convinced me we needed to move to the city. We landed in Pearland almost 20 years ago and have been here ever since. We have 2 girls and I try my hardest to be a halfway decent Dance Dad or at least keep up with my wife and girls. I have worked for the railroad for 18 years. I met Jon when we lived in the same neighborhood and met the other guys when Jon and his family moved to their hood. I'm a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan (even when they make it hard to be a fan). Definitely enjoy a cold beer or two (or however many I can manage) on the weekends.

COOKING EXPERIENCE:

I've been cooking probably about 8 years. I didn't get serious about it until I got my first Traeger and met the rest of these fellas. I'm now completely in love with bbq and grilling. I love trying new grills out and trying different methods. Currently own about 15 grills/smokers, with my daily users being my Weber Ranch Kettle and my Oklahoma Joes Rider DLX.

I'm married to a beautiful woman that loves cooking as much as I do! She is @chicksthatsmoke on social media. We have four amazing kids that keep us super busy. I was born in Oregon, grew up in Northern California, and have lived in Texas now for 10+ years.

Let's see... a little something about myself. Born in Houston, bounced around a bit before settling down in Pearland, Texas. Attended Tarleton State University where I rushed and became a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Phi Rho Zeta!

FAVORITE THING TO COOK:

Wood fired pizza on a grill from scratch. I love the entire process of making my own dough and sauce and pulling the perfect pizza from the grill.

FAVORITE GRILLS/SMOKERS:

Offset smokers are king in Texas, but for everyday cooking it's hard to beat the Weber Kettle.

GO TO BEER:

Coors Light on the daily, but if I could afford it, I would drink Shiner.

COOKING EXPERIENCE:

I've been cooking most of my life in one way or another. Even as a kid in  my grandmother's diner, but I've been competing in BBQ for 20 years.

I am super competitive in almost everything I do in life. It 's one of the attributes that's helped me be successful in work and BBQ.

COOKING EXPERIENCE:

Born in Alaska, moved to California, Hawaii, back to California and have been in Texas since '97. I moved to Pearland, next door to James and Aldan in 2013. James would have me try his BBQ every weekend and it started my love for BBQ. I've been a backyard BBQer most of the time and joined the competition team in 2018.
